We have two branches, Fokas Holthuis specializing in Dutch and Flemish literature, (first and special editions, bibliophile and illustrated books, signed, inscribed, association copies and documents, private press editions and manuscripts, letters and literary archives);

and Paulbooks in collectible English, French and German literature, history, politics, Americana, fine printing, typography, graphic design, psychology, sexuality and homosexuality from the past, erotica, transport (cars, zeppelins, trains, trams), quaint trade advertising ephemera, delightful children’s books in many languages, periodicals, anything attractive and absurd, and all at fair prices. Some authors: Louis Paul Boon (more than 150 numbers); manuscripts of Boudewijn Büch, Jan Campert, Isaac Israëls, Lucebert, Willem de Mérode and Gerard Reve. There are photos by Erwin Olaf (show pictures from the film made after Gerard Reve's epochal novel De Avonden), and many first and special editions.

The catalogue ends with a hundred titles in English, French, German (and Latin and Swedish): deluxe editions by special publishers like Charles Carrington, Thomas Bird Mosher & The Roycrofters, letters and signatures by E.F. Benson, Sarah Bernhardt, Benjamin Britten, J.M. de Heredia, Catulle Mendès, Czeslaw Milosz and Josephin Peladan, as well as many unusual, often illustrated books and some association copies by Harriet Beecher Stowe, Otto Schoff, Hans Reimann, John Cowper & Theodore Francis Powys, August von Platen, Herman Melville, Émile van der Borch van Verwolde, Norman Mailer, Valery Larbaud, Elisarion von Kupffer, Otto de Joux, Magnus Hirschfeld, Edmund Gosse, Louis de Geer, Benedict Friedlaender, Philipp zu Eulenburg, Georges Eekhoud, Paul Bowles and Irving Bacheller.

Occasionally we take part in bookfairs, especially the International Amsterdam Book & Print Fair in the PTA (formerly known as the RAI Fair).
